Manager/Director of HR
Play Hard Sports Inc. is North America’s first casual sports network focused exclusively on developing and publishing exceptional sports games and entertainment across the Internet. Headquartered in the shadow of the world-famous stadium at Foxboro, Massachusetts, this exciting new start-up is backed and funded by some of the biggest names in the sporting industry. Our team of executives consists of proven entrepreneurs that have previously started and grown online companies.
We are searching for a talented, highly motivated Director/Manger of Human Resources to develop corporate policy, oversee recruiting and coordinate our human resources activities, such as employment, compensation, labor relations, benefits, training, and employee services. As the only human resource professional in the company, this key position will report to the CEO and be involved in every facet of the business’s growth and development.
Responsibilities:
• Analyzes wage and salary reports and data to determine competitive compensation plan.
• Writes directives advising department managers of company policy regarding equal employment opportunities, compensation, and employee benefits.
• Consults legal counsel to ensure that policies comply with federal and state law.
• Writes and delivers presentations to corporate officers or government officials regarding human resources policies and practices.
• Handles visa issues, plans and conducts new employee orientation, and helps establish mentor/training programs.
• Keeps records of personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations.
• Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
• Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
• Administers performance review program, salary administration program, benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.
• Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
• Contracts with outside suppliers to provide employee services, such as relocation service.
Qualifications:
• 1-3 years of experience at the Manager or Director level.
• 3+ years of experience supporting the human resources as a Representative or Generalist in a hands-on position
• College degree with an emphasis in human resources (certifications are a plus)
• Excellent oral and written skills
